The NIEHS ChicAgo Center for Health and EnvironmenT (CACHET)

The ChicAgo Center for Health and EnvironmenT (CACHET) promotes multidisciplinary environmental health research among clinician, laboratory and population scientists from two Chicago area universities with complementary strengths and structure to understand, evaluate and ultimately reduce environmental health related disparities among residents of the region and beyond.



CACHET seeks applications for Pilot Projects for research that addresses environmental, biological and/or social factors influencing environmental health in our communities
Applications are required to propose using one or more of the CACHET Cores

The CACHET Biomarkers Core (particularly for research using the new ICP-MS equipment for metals analysis)
The CACHET Integrative Health Sciences Facility Core (IHSFC)
The CACHET Microbiome Core

Key Dates:

Letter of Intent: Requested by May 1, 2020, but it is not mandatory.
Application Deadline: May 22, 2020
Proposal Reviews: Completed by June 26, 2020; Funding Decision by July 1, 2020
Project Start Date: July 1, 2020.
