Habibul Ahsan, MD, MMedSc, serves as the Co-Director of the Chicago Center for Health and Environment. Dr. Ahsan has 25 years of experience in multidisciplinary population and laboratory research integrating environmental, genomic and socio-behavioral factors within the context of etiology and prevention of cancer, cardiovascular and other chronic diseases of national and global public health significance. Trained in medicine, epidemiology, environmental health and genomics he authored or co-authored >400 scientific publications.

Michael Reese Professor in the Departments of Urology, Pathology, and Physiology & Biophysics, College of Medicine; Professor, Divisions of Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences, Epidemiology and Biostatistics, School of Public Health at the University of Illinois at Chicago

Gail S. Prins, PhD, serves as Associate Head of Research and Director of the University Andrology Laboratories, in the Department of Urology, Program Co-Leader of the Prostate Cancer Working Group, UIC Cancer Center. Dr. Prins has > 30 years directing clinical and basic research laboratories with a focus for the past 15 years in EH-related drivers of carcinogenic susceptibility. Her basic research program investigates prostate cancer, hormonal carcinogenesis, prostate stem cell biology, endocrine disrupting chemicals (EDCs), arsenic toxicity and the developmental basis of adult disease. She has authored 200 scientific publications on her research findings.
